FRENCH ELLE GOES FOR A PLUS-SIZE MODEL ON THE COVER

Elle is not the first magazine to portray curvy models lately but it is the first one to do it on a cover.

Latest French Elle's issue portrays Tara Lynn - plus-size model - on its cover and develop a section focused on the model as a symbol of the new curvy, real ideal. Some see this as an special action, others as a development of the emerging trend but we can say it certainly is a big step in portraying chic as an attitude plus outfit, not a collection of bones.

COSMOPOLITAN SAYS "LOVE YOUR BODY"

Cosmopolitan magazine has launched a new section called Body Love with the objective of increasing self-esteem amongst young women. In each issue, they will develop subjects around body acceptance to make readers feel good about themselves and become Fun, Fearless Women.

In their first issue, 9 Spanish famous faces have shown their bodies with honesty and shared their experiences and advices about the best ways of loving our bodies.

Italy - the country of designers - has been the first place in which the online version of Vogue has launched a section dedicated to full-figured women called Vogue Curvy.


The main purpose of this section is to rediscover curvaceous women due to the fact that style has no size. I completely support this initiative, it was about time...
